“Is Stripchat safe?” is really four questions: can someone get into your account, who sees what you watch, what lands on your bank statement, and can you get out cleanly? Every answer below comes from Stripchat’s own help centre, read on Oct 30, 2026, with a link to the article it comes from.
Account security: 2FA and login alerts
Stripchat’s two-factor authentication guide says that when it detects a suspicious login attempt, it asks for a 6-digit code from the Google Authenticator app on your phone. Someone who has your password still can’t get in without that code.
- Turn it on: Settings and Privacy → the “Two-Factor Authentication” panel (right under “My Password”) → enable the switch → enter your password → scan the QR code with Google Authenticator, or paste the key manually on a phone → type the 6-digit code and press “Enable Auth”.
- One phone only: Stripchat notes that Google Authenticator issues codes on a single mobile device, so keep that phone.
- Lockout: after more than 10 wrong codes, the account is blocked for 30 minutes.
- Unusual location alerts: if Stripchat sees a login from an unusual or new location, it emails a confirmation link to your verified email address, and you must click it to prove the login is yours (unusual location login).
Practical take: use an email address you actually check, and switch 2FA on before you buy tokens.
Privacy: who can see you
Stripchat says the site is free to watch, with tokens only needed to interact (What is Stripchat and is it free to use?). What other people can see depends on what you do:
- Tipping shows your name by default. Stripchat’s anonymous tipping article says your nickname is visible when you tip unless you use the anonymous tip switch, even in Invisible mode.
- Invisible mode and anonymous tips are Ultimate features. In Invisible mode models don’t see your name in the viewer list, but they do see it when you message or tip, unless you tip anonymously. - High-level users can mask their level. Diamond-league users can choose to display a lower league and level than their real one (user levels).
- Private show recordings. If a model has enabled recording, both the model and the user in a Private show can save a recording to their own collection on Stripchat. Stripchat says neither side can download recordings or save them to a device (private show recording).
Age verification: what Stripchat keeps
If local law requires age verification, explicit content stays blurred until you verify, for guests and registered users alike. You need an account to verify. Depending on your country or state, the methods include a video selfie or an ID document (How to complete age verification).
On storage, Stripchat says: “Age verification is handled by our trusted partners. We only receive confirmation that you’ve passed verification, not the documents or information you provide.”
Billing, Auto-Refill and refunds
- Statement names. To protect your privacy, Stripchat says charges may appear under a payment provider’s name: EPOCH.COM*Technius, SegpayEU.com-TechChat or Paymentico.com, or sometimes centrobill.com or Technius Ltd (statement names). - Card and PayPal verification. Before card or PayPal purchases you verify your account, either with a small card hold of under $2 that is released, or by uploading a document (enable card and PayPal purchases).
- Auto-Refill is opt-in. You switch it on in the “Balance Auto-Refill” panel under Settings and Privacy. It rebuys your last manually purchased token package with your last payment details, up to 4 times per 24 hours on cards and PayPal (Auto Refill). Leave it off and every charge is one you made by hand.
- Refunds are narrow. Stripchat can refund only your last purchased package, bought within the last 30 days, with none of its tokens used, and paid by card or PayPal. You request it from Customer Support, and repeated requests may be limited (refunds).

Leaving: deleting your account
Stripchat’s How to delete my account? article says you can delete your account at any time:
- Open the account menu and go to Settings and Privacy.
- Click Delete Account in the top right corner.
- Optionally give a reason, tick the confirmation box and click Do It.
The account becomes inactive straight away and the emails and notifications stop. All your data is permanently deleted automatically after 18 months. Until then you can reactivate, and your tokens, information and collection come back.
Our take: is Stripchat safe to use?
On the points Stripchat documents, the answer is yes, as long as you use what it gives you: switch on 2FA, keep Auto-Refill off unless you want it, expect a payment provider’s name on your statement, and use the anonymous tip switch if you don’t want your name shown when you tip. The weak spots are the ones you control: reused passwords, an email you never check, and tipping under your nickname without realising it’s visible.
