- Costs add up fast: a private minute runs from well under a dollar to over $15 at Stripchat’s published pack prices.

This is a viewer’s review, written from Stripchat’s own help centre as it read on Oct 27, 2026. We didn’t invent a star rating. Instead you get the published numbers, the rules that cost people money when they don’t know them, and a plain list of who Stripchat suits and who should skip it.
What Stripchat is
Stripchat is a live webcam site where adult performers stream interactive shows from their own rooms. Its help centre calls it a free community for watching amateur models and porn stars live, open on any device through a normal web browser. You can browse and watch public rooms without an account. An account lets you chat, follow favourites and buy tokens.
Tokens are the site’s currency. You spend them on tips (including tips toward a model’s room goal), private and exclusive private shows, spy and group shows, Cam2Cam, offline tips with a message, and photo or video albums a model sells. Everything else is either free or part of the optional Ultimate upgrade, covered below.

Stripchat token prices
Stripchat doesn’t publish a full price list. Its “How much does a token cost?” article only says that bigger packages carry a bigger discount, and that you see every pack and price for your country by logging in and pressing the green plus (+) button. The one set of figures it does publish is a table of example packs in its payout article, re-checked for this review on Oct 27, 2026.

The spread matters. A token from the smallest pack costs about 32% more than one from the largest. That discount only helps if you’d genuinely spend $500 or $1,000; buying big to “save” is how a casual night turns expensive. Stripchat’s purchase guide (edited Oct 26, 2026) also says package sizes depend on your location and personal offers, and prices may vary by payment method, so treat the table as a reference, not a quote.
What a minute actually costs
Per-token prices are only half the story, because every model sets her own per-minute rate inside Stripchat’s ranges. Here’s the range turned into dollars using the cheapest and dearest per-token figures above. This is our arithmetic, rounded, not a Stripchat price list.

Two rules change the real cost. First, Stripchat says you need enough tokens to cover a private show’s minimum duration before you can start it. Second, a private stops automatically when your tokens run out, which is a useful hard limit if you keep your balance small. Group shows are also pay-per-minute, usually cheaper than a private because several viewers share the cost, and you only start paying once the show begins.
Free vs paid features
- Watching public shows on any device, with no purchase needed.
- An account, which starts you as a Grey user (levels 1–9). Grey means you’ve never bought tokens.
- A one-time spy preview. Stripchat says users with tokens can watch a spy-mode show free once, for the first 15 seconds, before deciding whether to pay.
- Go-live notifications for favourite models through the installable web app.
- Reserving a group show slot costs nothing; charging starts when the show does.
- Tokens for tips, goals, private, exclusive private, spy, group and Cam2Cam shows, offline tips and albums.
- Ultimate membership adds Invisible mode (you’re hidden from the viewer list), anonymous tips, unlimited private messages with models, stream previews on hover, chat emojis and the option to change your username. It can be bought one-time, monthly or yearly. Stripchat notes it doesn’t include tokens, and its help centre doesn’t list the price, so check it at checkout.
- Fan Clubs are per-model subscriptions with three tiers. Each model sets her own prices, plans run 3, 6 or 12 months, and auto-renewing plans keep billing until you cancel under My Subscriptions.
One honest catch on the free side: models can disable chat for Grey users in their room. Watching stays free, but you may not be able to type in some rooms until you’ve bought tokens once.
Privacy and billing discretion
- Statement names. Stripchat’s billing article (edited Oct 7, 2026) says that to protect your privacy, purchases may show under a payment provider’s name: EPOCH.COM *Technius, SegpayEU.com-TechChat or Paymentico.com, and also centrobill.com or Technius Ltd. That’s discreet, not invisible: anyone reading your statement still sees a charge.
- Payment choices. Depending on your country, Stripchat lists cards, PayPal, paysafecard, mobile billing, gift cards and crypto, among others.
- Invisible mode isn’t anonymous tipping. Ultimate’s Invisible mode hides you from the viewer list, but Stripchat warns that your name still shows when you tip unless you switch on the separate anonymous-tip toggle.
- Spies. If a model allows spying, other users can watch your private show, though only you can talk to her. Cam2Cam shows can’t be spied on.
- Recordings stay on the site. Some models let you save a private show to My Collection, but recordings can’t be downloaded to your device.
- Account security. You can switch on two-factor authentication in Settings and Privacy, and deactivate or permanently delete your account from the same area.
Refunds and auto-refill: read these before you buy
Refunds are narrow. Stripchat’s refund page (edited Oct 7, 2026) says it can refund only your last purchased package, only within 30 days, only if none of its tokens were used, and only for card or PayPal purchases. Its separate token refund policy adds that show complaints must arrive within 48 hours, a private longer than 5 minutes can’t be fully refunded, tips are refundable only when there was a clear agreement on the request and amount, and spying isn’t covered. If a show isn’t what you agreed, leave straight away and rate it.
Auto-refill is off unless you turn it on. When enabled, it repeats your last manually bought package on your saved payment details whenever your balance runs low, up to 4 times in 24 hours for cards and PayPal. With the biggest pack, that’s a lot of money in one day, so leave it off unless you’re sure.
Pros and cons
- Free to watch, with no purchase needed to browse public rooms.
- Clear per-minute ranges for private, Cam2Cam and spy shows, plus a price filter on the private shows page.
- Discreet billing names and a wide spread of payment methods.
- Installable web app on iPhone and Android with go-live notifications.
- Shows end automatically when your tokens run out, so a small balance works as a spending cap.
- Two-factor login and self-serve account deletion.
- No full public price list; packs and prices change with country, offers and payment method.
- Small packs cost about a third more per token than the largest.
- Private minutes can cost over $15, and Cam2Cam over $26, at the top of the published ranges.
- Refunds are tightly limited, and tokens you’ve spent are effectively gone.
- Anonymous tipping and Invisible mode sit behind the paid Ultimate upgrade, whose price isn’t published in the help centre.
- Models can mute chat for accounts that have never bought tokens.
- Your private show can be spied on unless you choose Cam2Cam or a model who disables spying.
- No App Store or Google Play app, and store apps using the name may be fake.
On balance: Stripchat is a solid place to watch for free and a reasonable place to spend if you set a budget first. Its downsides are mostly about money control, so the cons above are the part worth rereading. If that sounds fine, you can try Stripchat for free (affiliate link).
Who Stripchat suits, and who should skip it
- Suits: adults who mostly watch free and tip now and then; people who like finding niche rooms by category; anyone who wants to buy a small pack and let shows stop when it’s used up.
- Suits, with care: regulars who go private often. The bigger packs bring the per-token cost down, but only if that level of spending is already in your budget.
- Skip it if: you need a guaranteed refund, a fixed price list before signing up, or a charge that never appears on a statement. None of those is on offer.
- Not for anyone under 18. Stripchat, and this site, are adults only.

Is Stripchat free to watch?
Yes. Stripchat’s help centre describes the site as “100% free”, and you can watch public shows without buying anything. Tokens are only needed for tips, private, group, spy and Cam2Cam shows, and paid albums. Be aware that models can turn off chat for Grey (never-purchased) accounts in their room.
How much do Stripchat tokens cost in 2026?
Stripchat’s help centre shows example packs from 200 tokens for $20.99 (about $0.105 per token) to 12,570 tokens for $999.99 (about $0.080 per token), checked Oct 27, 2026. It also says the packs and prices you see depend on your location, personal offers and payment method, so check the green plus (+) button after logging in.
How much does a Stripchat private show cost per minute?
Models set their own rate. Stripchat lists private shows at 8 to 150 tokens a minute and Cam2Cam at 8 to 250. Using its published packs, that is roughly $0.64 to $15.74 a minute for private, depending on the model’s rate and the pack you bought. You need enough tokens to cover the show’s minimum length before it starts.
What shows up on my bank statement for Stripchat?
Stripchat says that, to protect your privacy, charges may appear under a billing company name such as EPOCH.COM *Technius, SegpayEU.com-TechChat, Paymentico.com, centrobill.com or Technius Ltd, depending on the payment provider. The name isn’t chosen by you, so it’s still visible to anyone who reads your statement.
