Discord Invite Checker
Paste a Discord invite link or code to see, before you click Join, whether it still works, which server it really opens, how many members and people online Discord reports, and the server's NSFW and verification levels.
Works with discord.gg/code, discord.com/invite/code or just the code. Try discord.gg/wrvthful to see an example.
How the checker works
When you press Check, your browser asks Discord's public invite lookup about that one code. It's the same lookup the Discord app makes when it shows an invite preview. The request goes straight from your browser to discord.com and doesn't pass through WRVTHFUL's servers. We don't log what you check, the checker saves nothing in cookies or local storage, and it never asks you to log in. It needs no token or password, ever.
It reads discord.gg/code, discord.com/invite/code, the older discordapp.com/invite/code, or a bare code. If you paste a link on any other domain, it doesn't look it up and warns you instead, because lookalike domains are where most invite phishing starts. Discord limits how often one network can look up invites, so if you check a lot in a row you may be asked to wait, and the page tells you for how long.
What each result means
- Valid or invalid
- Valid means the invite works right now. Invalid means Discord doesn't recognise it: it expired, hit its use limit or was deleted, or the server is gone.
- Server name
- The name Discord has on file. If it doesn't match the name in the listing or message that sent you here, be careful.
- Members and online
- Discord's approximate counts of total members and of members online now. A big member count with almost nobody online often means a server that's inactive or full of bought accounts.
- NSFW level
- Discord's classification of the whole server: Default, Explicit, Safe or Age-restricted. Discord can mark a whole server age-restricted when most of it is adult content. Many adult servers, WRVTHFUL included, report Default, because adult content is mostly handled per channel with age-restricted channels, which this field doesn't show.
- Verification level
- What your account needs before you can talk in the server: None, Low (verified email), Medium (verified email and an account older than 5 minutes), High (also a member for over 10 minutes) or Highest (a verified phone number).
- Expires
- “Never” means a permanent invite, such as a server's custom vanity link. A date means the invite stops working then. Large public servers usually keep a permanent link, so a short-lived “official” invite deserves a second look.
Invite scam and phishing red flags
- Free Nitro or gift links. “Free Nitro”, Steam gift and crypto airdrop messages are the most common Discord scam. Real Nitro gifts use discord.gift links and open inside Discord. Nobody needs your login to give you one.
- Never enter a token or password. No invite checker, bot or “verification” server needs your Discord token, password or 2FA code. A page that asks you to log in, scan a QR code or paste something into your browser console is trying to take over your account.
- Check that the link really goes to Discord. Read the address letter by letter. dlscord, disc0rd, discorcl and discord.gg.something.com are not Discord. Real addresses end in discord.com, discord.gg or discord.gift, or the older discordapp.com.
- Odd authorization screens. Joining a server never requires giving a bot access to your account. If a “verify” step asks to join servers for you or read your email, cancel it.
- Pressure and mismatches. Countdown timers, “last chance” DMs, and names or member counts that don't match what Discord shows here are all reasons to walk away.

FAQ
Is the Discord invite checker free and private?
Yes. It's free and there's no signup. The lookup runs in your browser and goes straight to Discord, so WRVTHFUL never receives or logs the invites you check, and the checker saves nothing in cookies or local storage.
Why does it say an invite is invalid or expired?
Discord answers “Unknown Invite” when an invite has expired, reached its use limit or been deleted, or when the server itself is gone. Discord doesn't say which of these happened, so the checker can't either. Ask the server for a fresh link.
Are the member and online counts exact?
No. Discord calls them approximate and can lag by a few minutes. They are still Discord's own numbers, which makes them more reliable than a count someone typed into a listing.
What does the NSFW level “Default” mean?
It means Discord hasn't given the whole server a special classification. Many adult servers report Default, because Discord mainly handles adult content per channel with age-restricted channels, and this field doesn't show channel settings. Default doesn't tell you whether a server has adult channels.
Why am I being asked to wait?
Discord limits how often one network can look up invites. If you reach that limit, the checker shows how long Discord asked you to wait before the next check. Waiting is the only fix, and it usually takes seconds to a minute.
Can the checker tell me if a server is safe?
No tool can. It confirms that an invite is real and shows Discord's own numbers and settings. Whether a server is well moderated and enforces 18+ is something you judge after joining, using red flags like the ones on this page.
