In short
- For an NSFW server, cam affiliate programs are the realistic income. We use StripCash, Stripchat’s program, because our alerts are for Stripchat creators. Discord’s own Server Subscriptions and Server Shop can’t be used for sexually explicit content.
- Keep explicit content in age-restricted channels, never pay or offer perks for invites, and never advertise by DM.
- Pick programs on payout reliability, tracking and terms, give every link its own sub-ID, and label every affiliate link.
WRVTHFUL runs an 18+ Discord built around go-live alerts for independent Stripchat creators, so this is the guide we wish we’d had: which income routes actually fit an adult server, what Discord and StripCash allow, and how to set up a live-alert funnel that members opt into rather than tolerate. We won’t quote commission rates or tell you what you’ll earn. Rates change, and the only numbers that count are the ones in each program’s current terms.
Ways to earn with an adult Discord server
Five routes, in the order we’d try them for an 18+ server.
- Cam affiliate programs. Live cam sites pay webmasters for the viewers and models they refer, usually as a revenue share, a payment per signup, or a mix. Live shows are time-sensitive, so a “live now” alert is genuinely useful to members. We use StripCash, Stripchat’s affiliate program, and cover it below.
- Toy affiliate programs. Interactive toy brands run their own affiliate programs, and many cam rooms are built around tip-controlled toys, so a pinned toy guide sits comfortably next to cam alerts. Only link what you’d actually suggest.
- AI-chat affiliate programs. AI companion sites also run affiliate programs. Only promote ones whose terms require adult users, ban content involving minors and ban sexual content of real people. We compare some of these on our AI girlfriend sites page.
- Sponsorships. Creators or adult brands may pay for a pinned post or announcement. Mark it as sponsored, keep it in a channel where members expect it, and never send it by DM. Paying, or being paid, for members is not a sponsorship; Discord treats it as platform manipulation (see below).
- Discord Server Subscriptions and Server Shop. Discord’s built-in paid features are excellent for ordinary communities, but its Monetization Policy rules them out for explicit content. More on that next.
Discord’s rules come first
An affiliate account is worthless if Discord deletes the server. These rules matter most, from Discord’s own pages on Oct 28, 2026.
Server Subscriptions and adult content
Discord’s Monetization Policy covers Server Subscriptions, Server Shop and App Subscriptions. It says you may not monetize sexually explicit content, “whether hosted on Discord or linked from other services”, and it also bars paid offerings whose main purpose is advertising a third party. In practice that means you can’t sell access to NSFW channels, or to a channel of affiliate links, through Discord’s paid features. Even for allowed content, Discord’s Creator Revenue FAQ lists eligibility conditions, including being 18+, two-factor authentication, a verified email and phone, and US-based banking and ID through Stripe when we checked.
- Age-restricted channels and servers. Explicit content belongs only in channels marked age-restricted (how to set one up). If the server is organised around 18+ themes or most of its content is 18+, Discord says the whole server must be marked age-restricted, and it will mark it for you if you don’t (age-restricted servers). Members in some regions may have to complete age assurance, and some iPhone users have to opt in on desktop first.
- Nothing explicit in public-facing spots. Discord’s sexual content policy explainer says the server name, icon, invite background, stickers and emoji must not be sexually explicit, and that owners and moderators of servers with adult content must be 18+.
- No paid or incentivised invites. The platform manipulation policy bans artificially inflating membership, naming join-for-join schemes, perks for inviting people and bought members. It also bans buying or selling servers.
- No spam and no DM ads. Discord’s Community Guidelines prohibit spam and inauthentic engagement, and its spam guidance warns against unsolicited DMs. Never mass-DM members an affiliate link, and don’t let bots do it for you. The affiliate programs ban it too.
The cam affiliate program we use: StripCash
We don’t give rates here. StripCash sets its own and can change them, so read its terms before you sign up.
StripCash
StripCash is the affiliate program for Stripchat, run by Technius Ltd. Its terms list several schemes: a lifetime revenue share, pay per signup, pay per verified user and a model referral program. A referral counts if the person creates an account within 90 days of clicking your unique link. Earnings are calculated twice a month and paid roughly fifteen days after each period, above a payment floor, with deductions for chargebacks and fraud.
Rules to read twice: no incentivised traffic, no email advertising, no bidding on the brand name, only StripCash’s own promotional materials, and no social media promotion without StripCash’s prior consent and approval. Discord isn’t named, so ask your affiliate manager in writing before you post links in a server, and keep the reply.
Join StripCash (our referral link)Why StripCash for us: WRVTHFUL’s go-live alerts are for independent Stripchat creators, so the program for the site our members already watch is the natural fit (see “Fit” below).
Want the viewer’s side before you promote anything? Our Stripchat review covers what viewers pay and what they can get refunded, and our cam sites for horror, goth and kink fans shows which site suits which niche.
How to choose a program
- Payout reliability. Look for a published schedule, payout methods that work where you live, a minimum you’ll realistically reach, and clear rules on holds and chargebacks. Payment terms should be in the terms, not just a sales page.
- Tracking. Check how long a click stays credited, whether you can add sub-IDs, and whether stats break down by source. Without that you can’t tell which channel works.
- Traffic rules. Read the sections on social media, messaging, spam and incentives. Adult programs differ a lot on whether community platforms count as an approved source.
- Fit. Promote the site your members already use. If your creators stream on one platform, that program will convert better than a generic one.
- A real contact. A manager who answers in writing beats a slick dashboard.
Setting up a live-alert funnel
This is the setup we use in WRVTHFUL, minus anything private. It works because members choose to be pinged; nobody is pushed a link they didn’t ask for.
- Get the basics right. Mark the server or the relevant channels age-restricted, write rules that say adults only, and keep the server name, icon and invite clean.
- Only alert for creators who asked. In WRVTHFUL, creators DM us their Stripchat username and must already be ID-verified by Stripchat. Their alerts stop whenever they ask, and they pay nothing.
- Make pings opt-in. Post go-live alerts in one age-restricted alerts channel and ping a self-assigned role (ours is LIVE). Don’t use @everyone for affiliate content.
- Keep the alert simple. Creator name, a line on what’s happening, and one link labelled as an affiliate link. Use the program’s own promotional materials or plain text, not screenshots of someone’s show.
- Give it a home outside Discord. Messages scroll away. A website page per creator or topic gives members something to come back to and gives you a place for full disclosures. Our guide to becoming a cam model is the page we point new creators to.
Sub-ID tracking
Most cam programs let you add a tracking parameter to your link, or create separate campaigns in the dashboard. Use a different one for every place a link appears, so your stats tell you which placement actually brings sign-ups.
- Name by source. For example
discord_alerts,discord_pinsandsite_guide. On wrvthful.com, every page and banner carries its own source ID. - Keep a list. A simple spreadsheet of link, sub-ID, where it’s posted and the date saves hours when a program changes its link format.
- Don’t track people. Sub-IDs should describe placements, never individual members.
- Check the docs. Parameter names differ between programs; use the format in each program’s own help pages.
Disclose every affiliate link
Members should know when you might be paid. The US Federal Trade Commission’s endorsement guidance says a disclosure should be clear and close to the link, not tucked away in a profile. In a server, that means a short label on the message itself (“affiliate link” or “we may earn if you sign up”), plus a pinned disclosure in the alerts channel and a line in your rules. On a website, put it above the first link, as we do at the top of this page.

Sources and method
Checked Oct 28, 2026. We read every Discord, StripCash and FTC page linked above. We left out commission rates and payout amounts on purpose, because programs change them and the official terms are the only reliable source. The funnel steps describe how WRVTHFUL runs its own server. We’ll recheck and redate this page when the policies change.
FAQ
Can you make money with an NSFW Discord server?
Yes, mainly through affiliate programs such as cam, toy and AI-chat programs, plus clearly labelled sponsorships. Keep explicit content in age-restricted channels, label every affiliate link, never pay or offer perks for invites, and never advertise by DM.
Can I use Discord Server Subscriptions on an NSFW server?
Not for adult content. Discord’s Monetization Policy says Server Subscriptions, Server Shop and App Subscriptions may not be used to monetize sexually explicit content, whether it’s hosted on Discord or linked from other services. It also bars paid offerings whose main purpose is advertising a third party.
Are affiliate links allowed on Discord?
Discord doesn’t ban affiliate links in your own server, but spam, unsolicited DMs and incentivised invites break its rules. Affiliate programs have their own limits too: StripCash’s terms rule out incentivised traffic and email advertising, and require prior approval for social media promotion. Ask your affiliate manager about Discord in writing.
Which cam affiliate program is best for a Discord server?
The one your members and creators already use. WRVTHFUL’s alerts are for Stripchat creators, so we use StripCash, Stripchat’s own program. Whichever you pick, compare payout schedules, tracking and traffic rules in the program’s official terms.
How much does StripCash pay?
We don’t quote rates or payout amounts, because programs change them. See StripCash’s own terms: it publishes its schemes and payment schedule at stripcash.company/terms.
Do I have to disclose affiliate links in Discord?
You should. The FTC’s endorsement guidance says disclosures should be clear and close to the link. Label each affiliate message, pin a disclosure in the channel where links appear, and mention it in your server rules.
