Candy.ai review 2026: the price, the free limit and how to cancel

Verdict in three lines
- Cheapest on the 12-month plan at $3.99 a month, but that’s one upfront payment that renews automatically.
- The free account is a 5-message taster; Premium adds unlimited chat and 100 tokens a month for images, voice and video.
- Cancelling is a few clicks in Settings, but refunds only apply within 24 hours and with 20 tokens or fewer used.
This review sticks to what Candy.ai publishes: its plan page, help centre, terms and privacy notice, all read on Oct 30, 2026. We didn’t pay for a plan and we don’t give a star rating. You get the prices, the limits, the cancel steps and the catches, each with its source.
Candy.ai price
Candy.ai has one Premium plan sold on three main terms. These are the US-dollar prices its plan page showed on Oct 30, 2026.

Prices depend on where you are: from a Canadian connection the same page showed Canadian dollars. The page also says additional local taxes may apply. Candy’s terms say prices can rise, with notice before a renewal at the higher price.
Checkout also offers weekly and every-two-weeks payment options, but we only saw their prices in Canadian dollars, so we haven’t listed them. A higher Premium Plus tier exists; we didn’t find its price published on a page we could read.
Is Candy.ai free? Free vs Premium
- Free account. Up to 5 messages in total across all characters, one custom character and one image (what free users can do, updated Oct 13, 2026).
- Premium. The plan page lists creating your own AI girlfriends, generating 18+ images and videos, the full Live Action experience, unlimited text messages and 100 tokens a month (plan page).
- Tokens. Tokens pay for images, creating custom characters, voice messages, voice calls (beta), private content packs and video (what tokens are for). Chatting still works when you run out (source).
- Yearly plans still drip tokens monthly. Yearly subscribers get 100 tokens each month and are charged once a year; monthly plans are charged on the date you subscribed (paid user guide, updated Oct 19, 2026).
- Premium Plus. Adds 330 tokens a month, Live Action and live audio, personas, 20 memory slots, 5 clone chats and 3-day early access to new characters (Premium Plus, updated Oct 13, 2026). Price not published where we looked.
What you get
Candy.ai is a browser-based companion chat site. Its homepage describes text chat plus voice, images and video, a builder for creating your own AI girlfriend, and over 100 ready-made characters, with nothing to install. There’s no native iOS or Android app: the help centre says to add the site to your home screen as a web app instead.
Is Candy.ai easy to cancel?
On paper, yes: it’s done in your account settings, with no phone call or email needed. Candy’s cancellation guide (updated Oct 21, 2026) gives these steps:
- Log in to your Candy.ai account.
- Open My Profile, then Settings.
- Press Unsubscribe at the bottom of the page and confirm the prompts.
- Cancelling isn’t a refund. It stops future renewals, and Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for (source).
- No pausing. A subscription can only be cancelled, not paused (source).
- You keep what you have. Your tokens and content stay after cancelling (source).
- Payment card stays on file. You can’t remove your only payment method while subscribed (source).
- Deleting the account cancels too. Deleting your account before the renewal date cancels the subscription automatically (source).
We didn’t hold a paid account, so these are Candy’s published steps rather than a walkthrough we clicked through ourselves.
Candy.ai refunds
Refunds are tight. Candy’s refund policy (updated Oct 22, 2026) and section 10.4 of its terms of service (revision Sep 22, 2026) allow a request only within 24 hours of payment, only if you’ve used 20 tokens or fewer, and only for card payments. It doesn’t refund technical problems on your side (source). Because cancelling isn’t a refund, you have to ask support separately at support@candymail.ai.
If you live in the EU or UK, the terms add a 14-day right to withdraw from the date of your purchase confirmation email, and the refund can be reduced to reflect what you’d already used.
Billing, payment and privacy
- Statement name. The charge shows as “EverAI” (source). Candy.ai is run by EverAI Limited, registered in Malta (company number C107181), according to the site footer.
- Payment methods. Credit and debit cards, crypto, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfer through Volt or Pix, depending on your country (payment methods).
- Auto-renewal. Every plan renews automatically until you cancel (terms).
- Data kept. Candy’s privacy notice (revised Oct 19, 2026) keeps account data for three years after your last activity, which it may shorten to one year after your last activity or the end of your subscription, or until you ask for deletion. Financial records are kept for ten years and log files are deleted after 30 days. It says it won’t sell or transfer your personal data to third parties without your consent, unless the notice says otherwise.
- Deleting your account. Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Account; some data is kept for legal reasons (how to delete).
Is Candy.ai worth it?
It’s worth trying if you want adult companion chat with images, voice and video in a browser, and you’ll use it regularly. The 12-month plan is the cheapest per month, but you pay it upfront and the refund window is only 24 hours, so it only makes sense once you know you’ll stick with it.
It’s probably not for you if you want a proper phone app, or if you only want a few chats: the free account ends at 5 messages, and Premium is the only way to keep talking.
Our tip: use the free messages first, start on the monthly plan, and note your renewal date the day you subscribe.

It can be if you want adult companion chat with images, voice and video and expect to use it for months. Premium unlocks unlimited text messages and 100 tokens a month, and the 12-month plan works out to $3.99 a month. It’s web-only, refunds are limited to 24 hours, and the free account stops after 5 messages, so use those first and start on the monthly plan if you’re unsure.
